great white got a reaction from Jim in It’s like riding a bike!
Glad that the trip was safe, love the write up
Memories of how small boys ride bikes. LOL
Mackerel were thick two weeks ago. Wed and Sat none 🤔
It is never great when that happens.
Wendy and I walked the coast cliff path at Durleston on Friday, then Reel Magic cruised a long way down the Jurassic coast on Saturday.
Neither day were there any feeding/diving birds to be seen.
For info, I usually call out at 25W on Channel 6

great white reacted to Coddy in Shed clearing of sea fishing stuff
I hope it ok as an old club member, I am clearing the mass of fishing stuff I have accumulated over the years.
To make things easy I will start with some lead ready to make your own weights, both sheet and old weights that can be melted and reused.
I also found some homemade bar pirks of various sizes.
Come and have a look and make me an offer for both or either.
Call/text me on 07581 717211 to make sure I am at home. (You get busy being retired 😁)

great white got a reaction from Gummage in Off Shore visit to the Banks.
Nice factual report, thanks Mal.
I was out yesterday. Started with a couple of hours in the harbour, but the weed and boat traffic was bad.
Moved outside, into a sheltered area
A few bits and bobs but it was quiet.
Moved further out, featherd a bit, but dropped the only mackerel hooked.
Sort of weighed up the day. Great to be on my boat, but very slow fishing.
Cannot win them all.

great white got a reaction from niggle in Reunited Old fishing buddies go out for the day.
Great crack was always guaranteed with Nigel onboard. Us old danglers can always come up with a tale or two.
Good to see the codfather back on the end of a rod

great white got a reaction from Wedger in Finishing touches- engine cover.
Popped over to see Pete
He says that you can glue the sheets on with most things, contact adhesive, Silkaflex , CT1 etc
but weigh it down well while the glue sets, for the later two.
He has some sheets in his shop if you need them.
Ref treating the aluminium, some wipe it with baby oil or this stuff

Hi Trev,
Wow that looks great mate
I think my soundproofing was sticky backed, but if not I would use something like CT1 to fix it. Or simply ask the supplier for their recommendation. I could ask Pete in Quay West chandlers if you want.
On Alfresco the edges and joins were sealed with tape bought from the same supplier as the sound proofing sheets.
I remember that this quite expensive though.
Ref the chequer plate, I left mine bare and it is still in good nick after 18years, it has dulled quite a bit now though.
Gary Austin treated his, when he built Prodigy and it stayed looking like new.
