Brian Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 (edited) Jim (Small Fry), delivered my rod holders last night, went for the 5 as the 10 seemed a bit OTT. Edited June 15, 2010 by Brian Quote
Barney Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 Brian Your boat looks more like mine every day. You will find them very useful they keep the spare rods out of the way whilst fishing Mick Quote
Jim Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 Well, speaking modestly as the designer of these fine baguette holders. The are the Dog's Bits ! ! ! Jim Quote
Coddy Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 Looks more like "cows bits" to me!! Anyway all those bread sticks will get too soggy up there Brian, with all that metalwork I doubt you will need a radar reflector Dave Quote

Barney Posted June 15, 2010 Report Posted June 15, 2010 Maybe one of the bigger boats with radar can let us know what sort of return it gives Mick Quote
pirky Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 Nice one Brian.......now we need a new photo on the water with baguettes fully loaded Dave Quote
Rob Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 photo on the water with baguettes fully loaded Jim will be in hot persuit! Quote
great white Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 It would be good to compare the signal from the same boats one with and one without the baguette holders fitted, then perhaps get one to put up a proper Radar reflector as well If I am out I would be happy to do that for you. and I have a radar reflector on a pole that could be used. A couple of times on the alderney trip when close to boats in poor vis, it was obvious that some had a much better Radar reflection than others, and it was not just down to size of boat. If not before, it may be something that could be done on the Weymouth trip in July. Charlie Quote
Brian Posted June 16, 2010 Author Report Posted June 16, 2010 Charlie I won't be going to the Weymouth trip, but if we're out at the same time somewhen, it would be good to compare. The "baguette Holders" take about 2 minutes to remove, so we could try without, with and with a proper reflector. Quote
Rob Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 I would be up for that - it will be like going to the opticians "Which is clearer?" "is that better?" "what can you see now?" Quote
Jim Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 Keep it up lads ! Free advertising - - - Wicked ! If I ever get out, We could compare my double ones. ( Tubes - not Chins Rob ! ) Jim Quote
Gazza Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 Jim, Would of thought customers would be coming from further away by now perhaps they don't now what a baguette is up North ? maybe you'll have to try a something else like black pudding holders Gary Quote
Barney Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 Jim You could always let the misses use it as a plant pot and have it as a nice garden feature. Atleast it will get some use !!!!. Some nice trailing plants out of the baguette holder might look good. Mick Quote
Jim Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 Gary: they've sold 4 this week. It's been a slow start, but I think the sunshine's bringing them out. Mick: She wants to sell the boat, dig up the drive and plant vegetables. Once I've shifted this chest infection, I'll be Out ! ! ! Jim Quote
