Rob
All, Florocarbon - which do \ have you you used and which do you prefer and why? Some say that the Gold packet Berkley doesn't knot well - I have found it OK but needs lube!!! How does the Vanish stand up? Adam F
I'm yet to find a flourocarbon that knots well. Just lube it up and pull it up slowely. I use Vanish in 17lb for bass
dicky
vanish in 20lb for all my bassing and wrecking on the drift. use it for turbos and bream as well.
duncan
different ones for different reasons - generally for bass it's about soft and clear - another vote for vanish 17lb dragging the banks for flats I use a hard one in 40lb, but I am afraid I don't know the make. it's never failed me. whilst it may seem overkill, especially with 14 and 20lb mainline, using J hooks exposes the hook length on long tussles as well as the potential abrasion issues.
