Oli Posted March 8, 2011 Report Posted March 8, 2011 (edited) It's a sad state of affairs that I'm genuinely shocked that absolutely the right decision was made for a change! Great result indeed Edited March 8, 2011 by oli Quote
codpiece Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 (edited) Not very fair or accurate, if you think our judicial system is unfair try living abroad, Iran, etc being prime examples.. Derek, Edited March 9, 2011 by codpiece Quote

shytalk Posted March 10, 2011 Author Report Posted March 10, 2011 im not wanting to get in to an arguement here but what is not fair or accurate about the 12m rule verdict ??? Quote
Graham Nash Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 I dont think he is saying the verdict is unfair or accurate ... I think it's the reaction he is referring to. I am sure most are only referring to the inconsistancies in our judicial system .... I doubt anyone is comparing it to others. Quote
codpiece Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 The Judiciary has its hand tied by sentencing guidlines, (just try going against this guidance!!) The answer is a sort out at the ministry of justice,(the Lord chancellors office of yester year) A monumental shake up of the C.P.S. and its opinions of what constitutes crime that should be prosecuted for its ''seriousness!!'' not for its ease of conviction to enhance figures. Lastly a serious look at policing in this country,or rather lack of it because uniformed personel are busy filling out paper - work Civys should be doing. who knows the coming shake up may do something. Little Sal, You are right in your in acertaining my referring was to the reaction. RANT OVER,,Tight lines to all out this weekend. Derek. Quote
