Mike Fox Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 Frisky had a bit of a struggle today, as we decided to stay inshore with the Forecast...and only small bream on the Patch. Eventually was embarrassed by the lack and size of fish, and weighed the next few, but put all back... Carol Fox 13oz Mike Fox 1lb 0oz Quote
carl/overdraft Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 Overdraft headed to the patch full of optimism but was quickly into doom & gloom mood when it became obvious that there was to be little action.... 1 Mackeral. Moved to Ballard area to get beat up by the wind direction changeing. Aaron managed 1 Bream of 1lb. I had a smoothound and that was that. Where have all the Bream gone? Carl. Quote
biggcol Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 Colin 1lb 13oz Niggle 2lb 8oz Bobi 3lb 0oz All fish were returned Quote
Stuie Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 Tried the patch, both inner and outer, but met with little bream action, eight in all over the session. Little else to report save for a small pollock and red gurnard, apart from the usual mackerel, wrasse, gobies and pout keeping the activity going. Interesting return journey when the wind whipped up the sea quite quickly. Another great day afloat. Similar to Mike Fox, I had a bream of 1 lb and Cabin Boy had one a little smaller. Quote
petesnr Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 Two pout, one pollack one bream of 2lb at Dancing Ledge, My crew a non-member had two bream. Moved to Ballard and had 3 more bream between 1lb and 1.5lb. Bit of a grueller!! Petesnr Quote

alfie Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 Sorry about the late reply. Myself and crew decided to try the back of Christchurch ledge in search of one of those big ones that I hear so much about. Sunday the day of the comp was the following day after party nite, family 60th and so we had a late start with hangovers . Eventually found a mark that I was happy with and a few fish started to bite as did the wind, Sally, the wife pulled up the first fish and it looked bigger than it was, I think Ive heard that saying before from her !! 1lb 8oz, seconds later my turn with a 1lb 4 oz. After only 30 minutes fishing I had to head back to Cobbs due to the weather with these two samples. Quote
