ospreyman
hi everyone loved the pics of poole posted today, they brought bsck many happy memories, it inspired my determination to return. the Mrs Sea is about to undergo surgery to fix her dirty fuel tank and i am thinking it would be nice to do a run to poole for the open competition weekend, for me the competition is not important but if there are members out there prepared to take the risk on the weather allowing me to get there and fancying a fishing platform for the day then please get in touch. greg
ospreyman
ok a bit of a bump the mrs sea has started the surgery, deck cut out, three acccess hatches cut into the fuel tank so that we could get each side of the baffles, 400 litres of fuel (and i had done more than a few hours running and the gauge was at about 60%), pumped out and filtered, large amounts of crud removed from the bottom, 3 hatches being made up for the tank and then a waterproof hatch going in to replace the deck, fuels getting filtered again and then going back, i dont care where the crud thats being collected goes as long as its no where near the boat, anyone want to go fishing the open? ps if i get there she will be well sea trialed pps please someone after my brief glimpses of parkstone earlier this summer can some one fix the weather so i see it again this year? all the best greg and if i dont make it i hope you all have a cracking day
Maverick Martin
Greg Glad to hear that Mrs Sea is at last being sorted and I truly hope that you will be glitch and crud free from now on. Re the open: you will not be short of marks to fish and I am sure we can find you some crew to keep you company ATB Martin
ospreyman
hi Martin finally got the boat back today, it now has a 4 foot by 1 foot shiny ally hatch down the middle, having only just got it back i wont have time to build the confidence back before next weekend so i will wish every one well for next weekend and get some time in on the boat before looking forward to nextt years attempts to fish from poole! greg
