ChrisE
Let me think, missus away with daughter no 1 for a girly weekend, weather looking good, nothing else planned, erm decisions, decisions... Thinking about a bit of cod and a bit of bass over the two days, as usual somewhere near the Needles. Currently will be out on my own, so if any fancies a trip out let me know. duncan
I'm planning to get out, but I might be running over to Cherbourg for a party rather than fishing.... (I know I'm really not taking this fishing seriously nowadays) I have Friday looking best, but Sunday OK for getting back. Will listen out anyway

Paul D
Slight infection in foot now but hoping to be fit enough to get out on Saturday for a crack at the cod.
alfie
weather looking good, weekend off. The search for the Cod off the needles sounds good. May see you out on the water.
ChrisE
Sunday appears to be going down the bog at last view of the weather gods. Let's hope it's a momentary lapse....
niggle
Did get out today tried for triggers off of boscombe pier pipe but only bream,if anybody has a better Mark for them a PM would be great as never ever caught one Then tried out further to see if we could find a cod.......none as our baits were blitzed by bream and dogs, here we also had loads of maccy and scad a few gars and a thorny so after giving it a good go but not on the right sort of tide we tried another spot...loads of bream but small then to end the day a drift which picked up a tub and red gurnard. It was great to get out again but think I'll give tomorrow a miss with those southerly winds Nige

Mike Fox
I think the reports of triggers this year have been few and far between Nigel. My understanding is they seem to like isolated rocky/weedy structures in 20' or so of water. Hope that offers some small help, but it would be good if others could verify. However, I've tried 8-10 spots in Poole Bay this year that meet that description, and have failed on rag, mackerel strip and squid. We've only had one (last year) and that took rag in just such a spot. I know some of the Christchurch lads get them off the Ledge, and there's a few recognised marks there, but am afraid I don't know them. Am starting to think there's not many here this year, with weather being fairly cool, and I guess sea temperatures down slightly...and they are on the northern end of their range, after all!
