Hi everyone..

Boat comes out this week for a service etc..

Bought a side imaging ff to fit, with a transom mount transducer..

I've read that this may course a problem due to prop wash/keel/rudder getting in the way.

Any ideas.???

Was going to mount it next to the tab.....

Some pics of other boats same as mine. Bottom one is mine. And shows the tabs..

P.s. I know about the twin thru-hull option.. But wouldn't be worth the extra cost to me :-(

On mine, (Lowrance structure scan and broadband scan) the two transducers (side and down scan) are on L brackets side by side, roughly at the inside edge of your tabs, but down at the bottom edge of the transom, so they shoot into clear water.

I wanted to mount them under the hull with the brackets reversed, but was advised not to.

Hummingbird uses one Tranducer for the lot....if it's Hummingbird you have, looking at the pictures it should go ok just inside one of the tabs.....but the only concern would be prop wash.......I went through this back in Febuary, I ended up buying a through hull and fitted it on the lowest part to the boat...it was the only way without buying 2 of them at nearly

Please let me know how you get on with it as I'm going to need a fishfinder upgrade on the Orkney at some point.
