Stuie
An earlier than normal start for us saw us drifting the training bank at 8.15 where a long drift eventually produced a reasonable tub - 1lb 10 oz - that had taken a liking to the plaice rig. A move to near Ballard saw us into bream after re-positioning at Brian's insistence. (he kept reminding me!!!) A couple of dozen came aboard with most going back A further move seeking rays was made and straight away the big baits were being wiped out by bream. A solitary mackerel was immediately pressed into use and before too long a surprised small turbot came aboard - a first for us on Sea Dream. Back down with fresh mackerel and after a while a healthy bend in the 12/20 indicated a better fish and a little smalleyed ray eventually posed for pictures. It wasn't much later that we motored past Derek on Sea Sparkle and headed back to Cobbs. Another great day afloat.
