Mal Thomas Posted December 9, 2012 Report Posted December 9, 2012 Had to work today so no fishing, decided to go for a meal on my return, wedding anniversary soon. Started with some proseccto, shortly followed by some fishy bites. A glass of chablis, weymouth scallops with serrano and pea puree. Main was 3 cuts of pork cooked perfectly with roasted vegatables. A bottle of crianza rioja, excellent quality hacienda Grimon. Dessert was a chocolate tart with a rasberry coulis, followed by espresso coffees. What an afternoon, beats washing the boat down after a few doggies. All enjoyed whilst gazing longingly over christchurch habour dreaming of a day out on sweetpea which looks unlikely before we depart for spain. I will be checking the web site for all the cod PBSBAC are going to catch whilst we are away. Happy christmas to all members. Bought a DNA kit today online hope to install before we leave. The club meeting was one of the best, not only because of the four raffle prizes what a lucky barsteward Iam. Quote

plaicemat Posted December 9, 2012 Report Posted December 9, 2012 Alright for some! My life has suddenly got more hectic; Dilys has a broken arm which is very inconvenient for me, no consideration at all. Aparently she is well in credit so I have to pull out all the stops with TLC. Terry. Quote

Jim Posted December 10, 2012 Report Posted December 10, 2012 Hi Terry, Sorry about Dilys' arm. Make sure she keeps the other parts of the arm moving. The joints lock up so quickly. The fozen joints are worse than the break. Jim Quote
great white Posted December 10, 2012 Report Posted December 10, 2012 Hi terry Send Dilys my best wishes and hopes that the arm heals well. I also hope that she can stand her nurse after a few days. I think the balance will still be in her favour after last year. All the best to you both Charlie Quote
