With so many boats being stolen how do you keep yours safe. Or is there no such thing as safe. My boat is delivered on Thursday  so I have got a ball lock two different makes of wheel clamps and I will be putting a chain on the trailer. That's four  locks, It will be on my drive do I get CCTV or just sit up all night with a shot gun in my lap? At least the outboard will be safe as I have not got one yet (I am looking for a used Mariner from 40 to 60 HP long shaft 4 stroke) I know you don't leave the outboard on the boat so I thought in the front room on the wall,(never liked the painting any way)

Insurance what one they all sound good till you get the boat stolen.

So what insurance do you have and with who?

Depends very much on if you live in a 'pikey' area  . With regards to the engine, I can assure you that you will not be wanting to remove a 60hp Mariner many times as they are normally bolted to the transom rather than on C clamps like some of the smaller ones. In this case, they just cut out the transom to remove it. With regard to insurance, many of us with smaller boats, which I assume yours is, go with Porthcawl Insurance.

All you can do is take all reasonable precautions as there are members who will tell you that, if they want it, they will get it. That's where the insurance comes in.

Try Great White or Alfresco.
