lofty Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 I wonder if after the meeting tonight some kind soul could show me how to tie a better knot from braid to leader? Ill bring some braid and some leader . I'm after a really small knot . Qt knot? Thanks Quote
Mike Fox Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 I struggled as well with these Steve, and now used a "modified allbright" which is fairly quick, has the simplicity of a doubled-over blood knot, and doesn't slip. It's a bit bulky, depending on the diameter of your rubbing leader. Happy to show you if you like, but you can decide for yourself. Mike Quote
Maverick Martin Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 Happy to show you the knot I use which is easy to tie and doesn't let go, probably the same as Mikes Martin Paul D 1 Quote
great white Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 Likewise Happy to show you the knot that I changed to a year or so back It has proved to be better than the Knotless Knot or modified Allbright that we used before. Charlie. Quote
Rob Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 Some times over less harsh ground no know needed as you can tie straight to swivel and then hook length. Not sure of the knot name I use, but be interested in Charlie Chapman's - are you able to find on't tinterweb? Rob Quote
