Does anyone have a Dell windows Vista disk that I can borrow or scrounge a copy of ?

 

It's all legal.

I have bought a cheap laptop from work for my grand daughter and it's wiped completely clean.

It IS licensed for Vista and I have to source the disk to install it.

I've looked all over the place but can't find where to get it from.

I use the license key from this laptop to authorise the software after installation so it's all done properly.

I can't help with Vista, but I've got a licensed copy of XP.

They put something in their system so only a Dell disk will do.

I tried my Dell windows 7 disk. It installs OK but won't authorise with either code.

If I can't get a Vista disk I may come back to you.

I chucked them out by the bucket load (literally boxes of them discs). I might still have one. I will go look!

Jim, you should be able to do this through Dell PC Restore or Microsoft Windows® System Restore, I would check it out.

It's on a multi user licence, we only used Dell PCs and Laptops.
