niggle
Would it not press out? If so I can remove and fit for you Nigel
Jamie W
Hi nige. Theres a lip infront of it unfortunatly. So the only way it can come out is via pulling i think :-/ hope tht makes sense.
Jim
Hi Jamie, That looks like Bronze to me. So if it's a bronze fitting and a steel bearing, stick it on a baking tray in your wife's nice clean oven with the open end down. The bronze will expand more than the steel. When it get's hot the bearing should fall out. ( I hope ) - - I used this method for removing the main bearings from my old Triumph motorbikes ( many years ago ) Jim
Jamie W
Cheers jim. I did try boiling water in a saucepan. But will try the oven.. ;-)

Rob
The bearing puller I have (somewhere) need something in the centre to push against i.e. A bearing on a stub axle.
fisherman1055
I have a bush puller and a couple of bearing pullers if you want to give them a go Tony
sparky
Try packing the gap with grease, get a bit of wood ( dowel / broom handle ) AND GENTLY TAP IT IN........the pressure should displace the bearing................ that used to work for me most of the time, good luck. Jim
What does the other end look like ? How much bigger is the hole in the housing than the one in the bearing ?
Brian
Isn't the hole in the housing slightly larger than the bore of the bearing, if so you should be able to push it out. If that isn't an option, a suitable sized rawbolt, tightened up in the bore of the bearing will give you something to push/hit.
