Manic Moore Posted April 9, 2014 Report Posted April 9, 2014 Hi all you sea dogs! Long time no forum! I am off to florida again in 4 weeks for a fishing sorry family holiday.... As I am sure Charlie has told you I landed a 170lb shark last year off the beach along with a few sting rays and lost a couple of tarpon..........bla bla........ Anyway, I am desperately looking for an uptider in 3 equal sections or less and it appears there is little on the market even 2nd hand. The only one less than £150 is the Fladen Maxximus. Fladden wouldn't be my first choice but I wanted to know if any members had used one or know if they are reasonable enough and worth a punt (Iknow its likey to be a bit soft but just don't want it to break!) Unless of course anyone has a travel uptider for sale? With best regards, Happy New Year Gordon Quote
Adam F Posted April 9, 2014 Report Posted April 9, 2014 Hello old buddy! I havent a clue about the rod but great to see you on here again. Have a great holiday. Adam Quote
great white Posted April 10, 2014 Report Posted April 10, 2014 Big G The fishing sounds great, you should tell us all about it some time. AGAIN Would you like me to ask Sam about his travel rod, not sure that the extendable handle has come out for a while, but we should be able to free it up mate. Give me a call or text Charlie Quote
Rob Posted April 10, 2014 Report Posted April 10, 2014 I have a fladen 10ft uptide rod, seems to have plenty if grunt and a sensitive tip (don't we all!). Pop over and cop a feel (leave it Jim) if you want, though it is only two piece. Rob Quote
