plaicemat
O/k, anybody got one of these and what do people think of them. To me it seems the ideal package to replace my Lowrance unit which I am struggling to see on the move; the Raymarine has a bigger screen. Rob
I think there is a lack of output for dsc, but could be wrong. Maybe add it and have 2if you have got room. Mal and Graham S had them I think.
Rob
Depending on your unit could you add LowranceStructureScan?

Jim
Graham, does it have dsc output? Good point Rob. And do we still get a discount with Force Four Chandlers? They never give ME a discount ! I always ask but nothing doing. I think it's that word " marine " It always seems to make the price go higher ! ! !
Maverick Martin
We used to have a Captains card which gave the holder a 1% discount which could only be cashed for vouchers after reaching £5 This arrangement seems to have fallen by the wayside as you would need to spend over £500 to be able to reclaim your discount. Ianh87
As mentioned before, it doesn't have DSC output. If you were planning on using it as a main unit, as we are doing (recent install this winter), you could get a GPS receiver for your VHF to enable your GPS location for DSC. We were concerned before purchase as we wanted to have DSC still, so yes it means another spend, but it is a way around the lack of DSC output. We picked ours up from Force 4 as they did the unit, transom mount and small gold chart plus Raymarine were doing £100 cash back for an old FF unit (they accepted our old Garmin GPS) so the cost of the GPS receiver was covered by that, plus a good few quid back as well.
