January 25th 2016.    This is a good news message, and appeal.
============================================================
In the early hours of Sunday the 24th of January 2016, Police officers in Hamworthy responded to a suspicious incident whereby they located an outboard engine.  This engine has been seized as suspected stolen.  At present there are no matching reports of this engine having been reported as stolen.  Hamworthy Neighbourhood Policing Team are asking for residents, and the marine community to check their boating equipment, and report any stolen items to the Police.  We would like to be able to progress this investigation further, and return this engine to its owner.

Thank you.

They grind the serial numbers off ! !

We all know that means it's stolen but you have to prove it in a court of law !

Ah it's good to know that I pay taxes to pay for legal aid for such deserving darlings ! !

That's why my engines, electronics etc. are all SelectaDNA marked. Did pop down and check my boat as soon as I read this.

I've shared it on Facebook as well.

Mine is and was DNA marked and had stickers on it but they still tried to nick it.

I've stamped my postcode all over it as well now.

Re-sale value's gone down but I don't give a s**t !
