Dead fish on Cornish beaches - a sad sight

So much bait around, may be why there are Tuna down there.

 

Very sad to see dead fish on the beaches, I hope they are being used for something, even if it is just pot bait.

This should never happen, these so called super trawlers need scrapping before all the fish are gone.

Paul Trebilcock from the Cornish Fish Producers' Organisation said he did not think fishermen were intentionally throwing away their catch.

He said: "Sometimes they simply catch too many fish for the ring netters to handle and they escape or need to be released.

"This has nothing to do with quotas, but simply too many fish in the sea in this case."

A couple of super trawlers working out of St Malo, had a look around the fish dock with Nigel, you could not believe the size of the nets and otter boards, tonnes of steel crashing across the ground nothing has a chance.
