gonorn Posted September 17, 2017 Report Posted September 17, 2017 Nothing for sea Jay, our daughter decided she wanted a day out, So after a steam up the swash I decided it was a little too lumpy for her to enjoy the day. So we went inshore to fish the harbour, and this turned up just off Lake pier. Mal Thomas, Leicester Fisheagle, Greg and 7 others 10 Quote
Bramble banker Posted September 17, 2017 Report Posted September 17, 2017 Good to see a few happy faces out today! iansimpson63 Posted September 17, 2017 Report Posted September 17, 2017 Great day out on Alfresco, Charlie has the weight details for the rays but I don't think we had any over 12lb 8oz ish. Quite a few rays land, plus lots of mackerel, doggies and a starry smooth hound. Superb fuel saving tip from Charlie on the way home and a special thanks to Dave. Great too be out and catching fish in good company. Greg and Kingfisher 126 2 Quote
Greg Posted September 17, 2017 Report Posted September 17, 2017 Our brief report is that we popped out for about 3 hours and caught three rays. Nothing over 10lb 4ozs (Undulates) Decided to get back and watch the Grand Prix on the boat on the berth as I was fed up of being thrown about out there !!!!!!!!!! Maverick Martin Posted September 17, 2017 Report Posted September 17, 2017 Our day was dire, we usually do ok in this comp but not this year. 1 small blonde landed by Rob (not weighed but guessed at around 8lb so not included in results) I had a bream of 2lb 11oz (weighed at home) We even struggled for mackerel so we retired early to the bar Rob, Greg and Kingfisher 126 3 Quote

Neal Posted September 18, 2017 Author Report Posted September 18, 2017 Could all competitors who caught fish register them in the "Report your catch - here" section of the forum to save me trying to work out which fish had the highest specimen % Many thanks and well done to all that caught "the target species" - which sadly excluded me!!!
