Poole Old Town Bridge Opens Soon

Don't forget that from 15th Dec the Old Town Lifting Bridge will re-open (well may be :lol:  :lol: :lol:  :lol: ) 

 

If you are entering Poole Sea Angling Cod comp on the 17th Dec be aware you may have to allow more time!

I don't understand, surely if the bridge is open then travel time will be shorter, why allowing extra time?

The Bridge will be closed most of the time. When Coddy says re open it means it will lift/ re open at times shown in the Harbour Commissioner Notices to Mariners displayed on their website. This will allow vessels which have a high air draft to pass underneath. In my case, I need an air draft clearance of 1.70 meters with radar arch, aerial etc lowered.
