This statement is the second to last in the advert.

“As with any boat this age there is ongoing maintenance”!

I think personally Ray, if you only have £6k then your not going to get anything good within that budget, you will have to spend loads to keep what you get up together. As Jim said , probably best to save up and buy a newer boat as and when your budget can be grown !

But then you would have to try and sell an old boat to a limited market just to purchase another !! Does not make sense Ray, really is best to wait til next season and save your money until then !

Ray imo your best course of action would be as Neal (Tarlach) and Jim (Small Fry) say, keep the money and save.

You can get your fishing fixes in the short term by hitching/crewing on other club boats.

 

Obviously it's your call and boats are a very personal and emotive subject.  Good luck with whatever you decide to do

I'd seriously consider a share but am unable to do so at the moment.

Jacqui asked yesterday if we were going out this evening but I said no. We wouldn't have got on the water before 6:45 to 7:00

If I had some dosh I'd love a bigger boat on a dry stack or maybe a pontoon.

We were going to go out on Friday but not wise taking a lady out in Thunder storms. It could put her off !.

Good luck Ray but be careful of spending all your money on a bucketful of trouble.
