sparky
If you want to go more than 12 miles from shore DO NOT go to Towergate if your boat is 7metres or less as they will not cover you as a new customer. I tried them a couple of months ago.

Jim
As for insurance: Just renewed with Porthcawl. Met a nice young lady at the Poole Boat show with an office in Poole centre. She said they could do " competitive " prices. . . . . . . . . . . . Spoke to them today. . . . . . . over 100 pounds more. Needless to say . . . . . . that's why I renewed. Do I need to post a disclaimer ? " It may be better for you " Always shop around ! That sort of thing.
