lofty
This could be a game changer for fisherman on a budget. The world has been divided into a grid of a few metres square, and each square has been allocated three words. For instance. My dining room table is at free.volume.payer. The plant to my right is at inch.spine.wiped.This could be a great way of finding marks or for relaying your position in an emergency if you only have a phone.AnywayFood for thought? The app is what3words and is freeLofty Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rob
I'd seen this quote a while ago but never had a use for it, although it cropped up on Sunday when I was fishing at index.banks.edge! Nice idea until you have to spell it phonetically but clever idea and they only needed some 40,000 words in combo to cover the globeR
Rob
Just read that the emergency services subscribe to W3W.

Steve S
I think it has a lot going for the rescue services, relaying the latitude and longitude is much more error prone and hard for many folks to understand. I think it's usable for fishing marks too, very likely better than passing over the coordinates which has a number of different formats. I hope it does get adopted more widely. lofty
plaicemat
As a family, we have been using it since it came out in case of emergencies as we all go into the mountains and wild terrain. Having tested it, we are impressed. Terry. lofty
Jim
OK. I've installed it. I don't have any money or anything to hide so if I'm being snooped on they're wasting their time.
