Cobbs are in my view heading for an exodus of boats.  They are cutting all previously enjoyed benefits ie lift out bacon sandwiches and coffee are lacking this year, virtually no parking which as a customer I feel I am entitled to, no fishing competitions in fact they are in my view getting greedy and will in time pay for their short sightedness

At another yard a boat frll off its props and landed on a car

So no parking by boats anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been thinking (unusual I know) about this.  I would much rather a boat fell on my car or van than on me, where do they get the elf n safety card from?  If their staff propped the boats up correctly they wouldn't' fall down! train the staff correctly.  Next they will be telling us we can't walk between the boats or get on them to work in case they fall over,  you just couldn't make it up.

A tough business to be in , in these weather conditions.

But that site is protected from the winds far more than ours.

I would think that making your group thoughts known to someone higher up in MDL may get a better response, they would not want to risk loosing multiple berth holders.

The last time I was in the office a little while ago, I could not help overhearing the Manager speaking with someone with regards to a high demand for births.

I have been at Cobbs since 1992 and have suffered many frustrations since, but experience has taught me that Cobbs is one of the cheapest Marinas around. You simply get what you pay for !!!

I would also like to say that Cobbs has improved significantly over the years and as Charlie says it is a tough one these days running a Marina with various liabilities being thrown at you. I would not be surprised if their Insurance company have requested this due to the recent incident and possible claim.

The parking has always been a bind but I personally am happy to stay at Cobbs.

I have asked about coffee and bacon rolls, these are supposed to be available but the vouchers are late.  I spoke to the guy in the shop who said they should be available, I checked with the office who agreed they should be available but were late.

i now park on the yellow line on the road by the boat, where are the traffic wardens to give me a ticket. Office staff walk past and seem uninterested.

Hopefully, they have been instructed to show common sense during a difficult and busy period.
