Poole Accomodation?

Pete from Burnham SAA called me last night.

 

They want to know where there members can stay overnight and park their boats...

 

Does anyone know of any guesthouses etc where they could do this? All I could think of is the Holiday Inn by the harbour, but I guess this would be around 50-70 squids per night, plenty of parking though!

 

Any ideas guys?

Having the event in the half term week I am afraid you will find this a bit of a problem - realise that's not helpfull but being realistic...........

Duncan what about Rockley park would there be any caravans available?

At the end of the day they have left it a little late to book anywhere as Duncan has said it is bank holiday week-end

Rockley reckons to have been fully booked for that weekend through the following for months; and that will include the camping part. They don't do nightly either - would be about 350 for the minimum weekend sleeping 6.

 

Last year the camp site just of the roundabout - A31/A350 was fully booked as an example too. However it might be worth contacting them as they could keep the boats with them there. Contact etc here

Just as a little tag to this subject. Does anybody know a small caravan site where I could leave a caravan and pay a storage fee and site fees when the caravan is used? Not a holiday site with shops, restaurants, etc., just something small. It would help us to fish more often and for whole weekends. Dilys is thrilled at the idea!!!

Inside Park just outside Blandford have storage for boats and caravans, and a small camp site. I store my caravan there.

 

About 15 miles from Poole.

try wilksworth farm at wimborne not far away tents only though ask for ray tell him its an enquiry from trevor k&t caravan repairs any other weekend and i could arrange accomodation in any area including burnham at discounted rates but not peak times or bank holidays should of spoken to me early regards trev

Terry, wouldn't it make more sense if you store the boat and only tow the caravan down when you require it?! I suspect you don't want to stay overnight everytime you fish.

Thanx for the idea, Kam, but the boat is worth more than the caravan and more dear to my heart. I prefer to see it in the drive when not on the water. Also, other members of the family and friends may want to use the caravan.
