duncan Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 Slightly confused here but how do the timings work for Sunday? Is this a 'window' based comp where people fish a 7 hour session to suit launch times or has it a fixed start and finish? Right now this is probably achedemic for me as I haven't dared even ask the FPO but with the light winds and tides I will probably raise the subject at some point! Quote
Adam F Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 I think the rules have changed in the past few weeks Duncan to allow members a greater window of oppertunity. Yes, it is the 7 hour window - but now between 6am and 6pm I think? Quote
duncan Posted September 9, 2005 Author Report Posted September 9, 2005 Thanks Adam - looks even more necessary to have a definitive statement than I thought then! Also make the requirement to book in over the VHF before fishing a mite interesting - Charlie taking a handheld to bed with him ??? Quote
Maverick Martin Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 Fishing times as above but you should book in the evening before Book in the night before or call on the vhf/telephone after 8am ot feel the wrath of Wendy Martin Quote
great white Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 Just to Clarify You can fish any 7 hr period between 0600 and 1800 Please book in from now to Sat evening, letting me or Peter know who is fishing, on which boat and which time slot you are looking to fish. this is for safety reasons so we need to know times that the boats are out. This comp is a dual comp with two trophy's, one for best specimen Flatfish and the other best specimen Ray. Please report your catch to me promptly after the comp. PLEASE PLEASE Do not phone my home No on Sunday morning, the boys and I will be out fishing [not sure of the time yet] and Wendy will not appreciate being woken up. The weather looks a little damp, but OK to fish Club Waters.I hope that you will be able to get out there. The final decision as too wether you put to sea is down to the skipper of the boat. each boat is to have a skipper and at least one other competent person onboard Have a good day tight lines Charlie Quote
duncan Posted September 9, 2005 Author Report Posted September 9, 2005 OK. I'll bite and at least one other competent person onboard competent as in ? who says the skipper's competent anyway.... ? Oh well I wish you all luck - don't think I am going to get a pass this time round. Quote
Newboy Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 I didn't dare ask the missus as I'm already going to France on a fishing trip on Monday to Wednesday I guess I'll give this one a miss. Good luck guys. Quote

I found out yesterday that we have to work both days so it's off for me I'm afraid.
