plaicemat Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Last time out from Christchurch I caught the bar and graunched my prop. This is on a Mariner 60hp bigfoot. It's not terminal as it worked for the rest of the night, but looks horrible. Anybody got experience of this (I bet yes)? Is it a new prop or a repair? Whichever, who is the best contact? Quote
Maverick Martin Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Terry PROPELLER REVOLUTIONS LTD. COBBS QUAY MARINA HAMWORTH, POOLE, DORSET BH15 4EL EMAIL: MAIL@PROPREVS.COM PHONE: 01202 671226 They should be able to help Martin Quote
plaicemat Posted October 18, 2005 Author Report Posted October 18, 2005 Thanx a lot, Martin, you're a star. As a matter of interest, how much does a prop cost new and, is there any advantage to the soopa-doopa quicksilver jobs? Quote
Maverick Martin Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Terry Don't know how much a new prop for your engine would be but when I got a new one for mine the quicksilver S/S jobbies were over Quote
Paul D Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Terry, Propellor Revolutions are definitely the place to go. They repaired my prop and normally charge Quote
Adam F Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Terry, although you have the Bigfoot so a slightly larger prop than mine - a new one would be about 60-70 quid I think. Prop Rev. have done a few repairs for me and never charged over Quote
Newboy Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Alternatively you can look at Hustler hub and prop if anyone is starting from scratch. The hub is about Quote
