Hi Charlie,

I do. It isn't much use, except to tell me that the annual service is being done at about 1/3rd of the recommended hours. I need to go fishing more often weep.gif

Mine I inherited, might find one at a car boot sale or through something like a tool suppliers, though most will be 240V not 12V?

FWIW, the e-tec engines have an inbuilt hour meter.

Charlie,

If it is a 4 stroke I have an hourmeter / tacho for sale ( as I have got an etec now ) which is easy to fit close to the engine. ( it has a lead which you wrap around one of the HT leads on the engine and another which you connect to the earth. )

If you have a 2 stroke then it will still work as an hour meter but will show the incorrect RPM ( probably twice the correct rate I think ).

Frank W. Murphy Limited at Laverstock Salisbury supply hours run counters and real good mechanical gauges with adjustable switches built in. Ring 01722 410055 and ask for Chas Kimber. Tell him Richard put you on to them. Ask them to send you a Marine Catalogue, theres some interesting kit in it. (you could always look at their webb site)

I worked for them for 20 years so I am biased.
