Afishionado Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Did you guys get a definitive anser on what the warning light was? And if so can it be cured? Mike Quote
Bob F Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Mike, No, not yet. Adam has arranged for an engineer to look at the engine on Saturday. Bob F Quote
Afishionado Posted March 26, 2004 Author Report Posted March 26, 2004 Ah well, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Mike Quote
Adam F Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 Wanted to get the whole engine serviced before I buy - but the broker and the seller are not comfortable with this. I can sort of see their point of view - after all you wouldnt get a service on a car before you bought it would you? They dont mind me having an engineer looking at it though on site. So tomorrow the local mariner dealer is having a look and subject to him giving me a positive opinion I'll buy it. The first thing I'll do though is book it in for a full sevicve at Cobbs. The package is a good deal, and ive knocked him Quote
Maverick Martin Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 Hi Adam Fingers crossed that your proposed engine comes out with a clean bill of health . Hopefully by the end of this week-end you'll be the proud owner of a new rig When you get your engine serviced at Holes Bay please let Richard know your a member of pbsbac. It won't get you a discount but might make things easier when the club goes cap in hand for sponsorship Cheers Martin Quote
great white Posted March 27, 2004 Report Posted March 27, 2004 Hi Adam I hope that the engine gets a clean bill of health, it sounded as if it was due to standing for a while. Let me know what the diagnosis was, and what was done. Charlie Quote
