Afishionado
Now my spine is finaly showing good recovery I am going out this Saturday. But where? I am not fishing the competition and don't want to get in the way of those who are, so where do you sugest for a fishy adventure? My thoughts are possible Whitehouse Grounds to the west or a trip to Southbourne and the ledge to the east. A few mackerel first then a nice day sitting at anchor over fish central will do nicely. Any thoughts?? Mad Mike

Paul D
Mike, I am sure the answer to that is no ( and if it isn't then it should be IMHO ). Either pay
Maverick Martin
Can't I enter retrospectivly if I catch something good? Mad Mike No you can't Either of the two spots you suggest should be good. Southbourne will have less tide so may be more comfortable fishing (lighter) but whitehouse grounds does offer a large variety of species and options The choice is yours Martin
great white
The tides have been chosen to allow a lot of scope on a comp with a variety of fishing available I wish I had time to fish If I was going out even for a short trip I would pay the entry money just in case. any of the areas you mention will provide good specimens, and have provided a few Club records so the good fish are not all in Alderney. Give the comp a go Mike, if you win it will make good story material Tight lines Charlie
Afishionado
Give the comp a go Mike, Bl00dy boats! I hate them Went to test run the engine today and there is no electrical power at all Everything was fine a week ago, now bupkiss, nada, nowt. Battery is fine, all connectors look fine, got power to the auxiliaries (lights etc) just the blinking engine side is dead. Can't even get the little beggar to tilt down to get the top off! Ahh well, a later start tomorrow as it's 8.30 am round to Sam Trickett and with luck we will/should/might be on the water later on.
