Maverick Martin Posted August 13, 2007 Report Posted August 13, 2007 The "Awol" crew will fish this one Martin Quote
Fugazi Posted August 13, 2007 Report Posted August 13, 2007 Provisionally Fugazi will be there, but it depends on how early my flight gets in from Boston on Saturday. Gordon H Quote
Swainiac Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 Provisionally, Mark and I will be out. Rich Quote
Paul D Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 Burnham boats will be buddied where possible / needed with a Poole boat of similar size / speed / capability. Neo has better capability now than last time when I was buddied witha boat that had insufficient fuel, went really slow and had an anchor rope which didn't reach the bottom Neo will endeavour to be there, provided I am not in the USA. will be "crew hunting" again if anyone interested. Wedger Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 You guys have the cruelest way of excluding me from winning awt, by arranging most comps on my working weekends.............. still............saves me some embarrassment Quote
Paul D Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 Pinning this topic as the date is fast approaching. USA still a possibility for me and still looking for crew ( as still 50/50 I will be fishing ). Quote
Mike Fox Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 Every chance that Frisky and crew will be out and about, but I can't get within 100m of Baiter due to our 5'6" draft. Looks like we won't be able to play... Will all wave as you all come past! Mike Quote
charlieannear Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 I'll have to make my apologies as well I'm afraid- will be away on a course from the 8th for 2 weeks. C. Quote
Sinbad Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 (edited) I'll be there....bright and early, and fishing on 'Imagine' with Richard, a mate from work. Is it the 'usual' format with something back at the mariners or will it be weigh in and disperse at baiter ? Paul Mike - I suppose if you booked in first thing ,by car, you would still have a reasonable time for motoring/ sail to get on an inshore mark. Fishings from 09:00 so wouldnt be the end of the world if you didnt start till 10:00till 15:00. its just the dash from the marina for the weigh in. logistics... logistics...logistics.. Edited August 30, 2007 by Sinbad Quote
Paul D Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 or get a lift from another boat to take you from your boat to the weigh in with your catch ? Quote
Swainiac Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 I have to work unfortunately, so Mark will be looking for crew if Nipper is out....sorry guys! Would have loved to defend my home leg title!!! Im sure that the mark will produce 100% for the boat again Rich Quote
plaicemat Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 I would love to play. I am doing some work on Stingray at present and am not 100% sure she will be ready so may need a crew berth. Do we have any indication of how many Burnham have coming? Terry. Quote
Neal Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 I would like to fish the comp. on Court Jester However...... wifes birthday that weekend (not Sunday) but I don't yet know what she has planned for me to do / pay for etc..... Neal Quote
Adam F Posted August 31, 2007 Author Report Posted August 31, 2007 Thanks for the support guys. Yes - Baiter for weigh in and dispersal after. Mike - We can arrange for you to pre-book and someone to take your fish to be weighed - the same goes for anyone who has a deep draft, let me know and we will arrange to sort you out. Quote
Coddy Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 Sammy should be there with Bill (Ferret) as crew Coddy Quote
great white Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Mike i am sure to save dissapointment you may be able to arrange a short stay on the Quay or the Poole Quay boat haven while you register and land your catch Talk to Sam if you are going to try this method Wendy and I am away so I will not be out Tight lines Charlie Quote
Rob Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 (edited) I hope to be out for this one. Will advise nearer the time. Mike, I will haul your catch ashore if required. Though remember I am only small so will not be able to take anything large and clad in neoprene to the weigh-in! Rob Edited September 1, 2007 by rob francis Quote
Gnasher Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Sorry, Sunday is Football day, both me and Dom will have to give it a miss. Quote
Sinbad Posted September 4, 2007 Report Posted September 4, 2007 Please could someone post the NFSA specimen weights list..... after a search of the forum etc and NFSA website, I've drawn a blank.... but then it has been a tiring day at the office!! I've PM'd Adam to clarify if its one rod only fishing, but me thinks it would be a great help if the spec listy plus the comp rules were posted as a download or something....Paul D? Thanks Paul Quote
Paul D Posted September 4, 2007 Report Posted September 4, 2007 1.) NO FISHING outside of the competition times. 2.) Two rods per angler, maximum of TWO hooks. 3.) Entrance fee - Quote
Paul D Posted September 4, 2007 Report Posted September 4, 2007 However, Neo wont be fishing as I am fishing on Nipper, so Nipper will be the safety boat in place of Neo. ( Although wondering what the "safety boat" involves ). Quote
Paul D Posted September 4, 2007 Report Posted September 4, 2007 NFSA Sepcimen List is hidden away on their website under Teams and Competitions -> Competitions and Festivals -> Match Pack A direct link is below and we fishg to Area D sizes :- Specimen Sizes Quote
Paul D Posted September 4, 2007 Report Posted September 4, 2007 To clarify the maximum of two hooks, My understanding is that you can fish a pennel rig on each rod provided both hooks are in the same bait ( ie. A pennel rig counts as one hook ) Quote
Maverick Martin Posted September 4, 2007 Report Posted September 4, 2007 My understanding is that you can fish a pennel rig on each rod provided both hooks are in the same bait ( ie. A pennel rig counts as one hook ) Correct Martin Quote
