This is probably a question for Tom.

I'm probably being a bit thick, but I've just been looking at the specs for the MF 585 on Southern Motorboats site and can't make sense of the Beam measurements.

I understand Beam at Water line 2.12m.

The dimensions I'm having trouble with are:

Hull Beam = 2.55m

Max Beam = 2.40m

What's the difference between Hull Beam and Max Beam, and how come Max is less?

I think Jeaneu have a problem with their webmaster

If you look at the 655 Marlin it boast a 110hp inboard but the spec states a Nanni 85hp! huh.gif

Tom, don't want to be too picky but I think someone needs to get the site checked and corrected asap.

Re Beam dimensions, the 655 is the same max as is hull beam so I suppose it means it has straight sides. unsure.gif

I want to know how tight a fit it would be in my driveway.

It's the first time I've known Max to be smaller, but then the French are always different!! cool.gif

Hi Guys

Yes the Jeanneau site is a mystery all of it's own.

Trouble is, we have to take a lot of our data from it.

Actual maximum beam of the 585 is 2.4m and loa is 5.75m

For Coddy, the 655 max beam is 2.62m and loa is 6.66m (excluding optional platform). Engine is actually a Yanmar 110Hp for 2008 models.
