Hi everyone, my name is Alan and am looking forward to being a member of PBSBAC. I am quite new to both seamanship and angling. I have been fishing off of Hengistbury Head out of the run in a small inflatable with a 4 hp outboard. I have had moderate success. I have also visited Poole harhour three times and caught zilch. I am 59 and recently retired so can go out during the week whenever the weather and tides are ok.Often when out I feel it would be so much more secure if other friendly boats were near by. I would also be very keen to crew for anyone else. I am very anxious to learn more about the sea, boats, fish and techniques. I have only had books as a resource so far. I look forward to meeting and hearing from other members. Thanks. Alan

Hi Alan and welcome

The more you join in, the more you will get out.

There are a few Members in your area and several that are able to fish in the week.

If you have questions please post them, replies will be varied and usually plentiful.

Hi Alan

Welcome to the club. biggrin.gif

I am sure you will get plenty of help and advice from club members, just ask away.

This should be a good time of year to get out and find some of those "secret" marks and see what you can get out.

As I say, if you need help advice just ask away.
