  1. Simple update ; spent all day wiring things up , every cable has been soldered etc etc I now have done my best to get everything working as it should . I still have the biggest thing left, the engine. Fingers crossed , she's still on my driveway awaiting to be taken down to Rivershack. Im still aiming for the first week in April ?? It's getting rather exciting but not going to rush as I'm going to get this job 100% right first time .

  2. I have seen Neil at Wessex is running a boat species comp. I believe it is for individuals and you can fish on private or charter boats. Starts first or Feb. I will find out more. R

  3. They seem to have left my first mobile phone off the list They were beasts to carry about and didn't fit in your pocket oh, and you couldn't watch anything on them except your money leaving you at a fast rate

  4. Yep fully agree with Robs comment and while your at it pullout and inspect the fuses and holder contacts of any in line fuseholders(particularly the blade fuses )as they are subject to galvanic corrossion if the boat has been afloat for a while. Can't stress the importance of using tinned copper wire enough Peteg

  9. To be perfectly honest Brian, I'm not sure if you can find anything on the market that comes close to your 165 . Bigger does not mean better, it just costs more ££££ , ?? I suppose a 175 with a canopy would be just as good (?????) I m just a massive Warrior fan so totally biased !

  12. I have one of these in my loft, as Martin said you could spend a fortune on them. One thing was you could get a signal anywhere in the Channel with one unlike now!

When I did my apprenticeship with “Southern gas” we had to take turns with one of those beasts. It was the size of a hand luggage bag ! Thing is nobody wanted to take it as we all quickly realised that whom ever had it was the busiest that day. The office could get hold of you !!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. Hi Hooky I had a 17ft Wilson Flyer that was very heavy built as a one off. It performed badly with a cheap 45HP on the back so I fitted a new 60HP Yamaha. Wow what a difference, great after that. Are you sure that the Yamaha has a terminal problem, does it look cooked by overheating? Or is the the water flow a minor thing.
