Started off at the chines only to find it full of tiny bream . Down to the piers next, first drift 4 plaice all about 1lb, thought I had it sussed. Well not to be , no more plaice to be had even after a move.......just hordes of bait robbing 3 inch bream Move required so into harbour for a Gilthead , no luck just hordes of 6 inch bass taking bait , only other species caught was a plump corkwing. So you had plenty of fish caught for you today Jim !!

Thanks for that Brian. Where's the fun in being old if ya can't get a bit of discount ? Ah well. I'll go and find a spotty teenager to bash with my walking stick ! That'll cheer me up !

Just into Wareham Forest - a freebee with the van

Out with Glen today - steady start - 9am. Decided to try the harbour for the day and moored up off Hamworthy. Straight into small bass and a few black bream. Ballans and a baillons put in an appearance then Glens new spinning rod took on an alarming hoop. Net at the ready to see three scad of around 1lb each coming aboard. That was a surprise. Then it was back to catching small bass interspersed with several gobies. A lovely day out with shelter from the gusty breeze all day.
