Aw, thank you everyone for your kind wishes, I think the reply is that I had a good day in the circumstances. Number 1 daughter took the morning off work to accompany me on a brisk 9 mile walk in our local Cotswolds. A couple of G&T's followed by bass fillets, a nice bottle of Chablis and finished off with a couple of Dalwinney single malts. A good day under any circumstances. Martin, you know Dilys so well, BTW, 3/10 for spelling 😊. Jerry, I can wait for that treat, roll on the vaccine.. Jim, yes, all of the above. Hoping to be amongst you all soon, Terry.

Thanks Jim. It was a shame and defo a big cod. We had had plenty of conger and this was a completely different bite. A big pull down, then slack line. As I reeled into it the line went heavy with a couple of shakes mixed in. Then , bugger, it’s gone. Andy has never caught a cod so just wouldn’t know how it feels.
