  1. Could also make it bloody difficult to get the anchor in.
  2. Does anyone use Wilkins Way slipway on West Quay road? I'm sure if you were early enough you could leave your car and trailer down there without any problem.
  3. My prime choise too, a perfect spot. Other sites are Hamworthy and the existing slip at Evening Hill. Mad mike Mike, Do you not think Evening Hill stays too shallow for to far out a bit like Baiter and you wouldn't get a decent angle on the slipway. The same applys for Hamworthy unless you start dredging and that opens another can of worms, expense etc.
  4. The best chance would be the old powerstation site. You could incorporate a slipway in with whatever they eventually decide to do there. There's plenty of space for parking etc and the depth of water would be ideal for a decent angle for a slipway. The only problem would be the cost ; they're bound to rip you off there I would think.
  5. Sorry Jack, couldn't resist it. Anyway I don't think I'd be worrying thier fish stocks too much at the moment; last three flounder trips and not one bite.
  6. Jack, it may be worth mentioning that you're not going to wipe out their fish stocks going on past performance.
  7. They're only putting sand from the Swash onto the beaches. It's very clean.
  8. Might is right
  9. I shouldn't worry about it. As your GPS is not 100% accurate and your position probably jumps very slightly all the time. Your GPS receiver is just timing your position between these small jumps; hence it thinks you are moving and records your speed thus. IMHO
  10. Tom, the only place I can usually find it is Smiths in Poole. I'm going to subscribe when they change the give away gift with all new subscriptions. At the moment they're offering a multiplier which looks just a bit crappy to me. I could be wrong and stand to be corrected though.
  11. not nitpicking or anything but shouldn't it be 2006.
  12. Martin, If he stays east of Portland and west of the Needles he can stay in the club Sorry couldn't resist it. Best of luck Kim; with wherever you're going. I'm sure we'll catch up with you before you go, Simon.
  13. Nice one Charlie, you and the boys must really excited. Best of luck and we'll see you in the Spring.
  14. Jack, I use Photoshop Album; it's a very good way of keeping your picture files. Never seen the dongle folder though.
  15. Try Cobbs Quay chandlery. I'm sure they do that sort of thing. I would have thought that any of the chandlery shops would do them. Cobbs are bloody expensive though.
  16. Paul, I have exactly the same problem and just haven't got around to messing around with the trim anode (or whatever you call it) yet. If you stand in the middle and steer it's not quite so bad. I've recently put an auxillary 4hp engine on the port side; I thought maybe with the extra weight on that side would help but it hasn't. Simon.
  17. It's a really good idea to get Paul via messenger. It makes things much clearer. Thanks for all your help Paul. Simon.
  18. Paul do you mean we have to change all the files to .reg files?
  19. Paul, For some reason when I'm using the publishing wizard I'm not getting the option to select Poole Bay Small Boat Angling Club Photo Album. It's asking me where I want to publish these files but the only option I'm seeing is MSN Groups. I am on the computer at work do you think this could be an issue?
  20. It is a really nice run up stream of the bridge on a nice day out with the family in the summer. Just watch out for the hire boats though.
  21. You could end up in the north of Scotland if you keep going
  22. I stand corrected re. Club Waters. Apologies to any who were irked by my post.
  23. Does anyone not think that we are begining to push the club boundries a little too far. Alderney does seem an awful long way off and after all we are called Poole "Bay" "Small" Boat Club. Maybe just in the interests of safety we should have some sort of distance from shore policy. Don't get me wrong; I'm not saying this because my boat is particularly small as I get plenty of opportunities to go out on larger boats. Just a thought.
  24. Sounds ominous
  25. Ask Adam; he's the trailer commodore
