  4. Invited out on Marichelle Today! Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuvly! Mick picked me up at 07:30 and off we went to the secret Plaice mark. Then had a change of plan and went to the secret Bream mark in stead. " Secret " being the operative word. Even the flipping Bream didn't know where it was. Mick had 3 small ones and I had one small one & a Doggy. Several cups of coffee and cheese rolls later we moved to the secret Plaice mark and . . . . . . . Yep! Even the plaice didn't know where it was. We did manage a few small ones and a couple of Goalies. Mick called them "Keepers" but I knew what he meant ! ! ! I was outfished all day by Mick but I really enjoyed it so thank you Mick. Good to be out again. Jim

  7. As I'm semi retired, If anyone is going out at any time before the Bream comp I'm volunteering as crew! I can work my tasks around it. Still a little bit cold for the Tiddler to go out yet.

    Happy Birthday Tony

Gazza will pass them on. But I suppose 2012 is a long time. He should be buying US the cake ! 🤪
  16. I have to use fixed spool reels for casting. I use multipliers if we're fishing straight down & hoping for bigger fish. I know nothing about what's best though. Except that the really cheap stuff will dissolve in salt water. Those that Pete mentioned look really nice.

    Trailer - worth?

Can't see from the photo: Does it have bearing savers? They're the "sticking out bit" See photo. Are you able to raise the trailer and spin the wheels? If they're quiet the bearings are probably good. If they rumble they're probably not. ( Even good ones will make a slight noise) Have you thought of listing on boats & outboards ?
  18. Happy Birthday Tony. Hope all's well. Have a great day. Jim

    Trailer - worth?

I've seen some on fleabay similar looking for about £750 ish ish ish . . . . . Maybe quite a bit less. It's all down to someone wanting it at the time you advertise it. Good luck. Jim
