    Scorcher of week

VERY nice Kev. What a week to be doing all that. I spent most of the week doing "sod all" Too hot for an old fat git like me. Reel Bizzy looks like new. πŸ‘

    Auxiliary engine

Don't carry a passport and the border force will come and get you, & give you hot food & drink. All free of course.
  3. I hope that top roller spins freely or you'll get a lot of drag from that.
  4. Want your names on them? Club rates in this instance. πŸ‘ Free. πŸ™‚
  5. When I lived in the Midlands and fished the canals that would have been called a "big un" 🀣
  6. Thanks Chris. πŸ˜‰
  7. The Witheford Winder. or at least that's what I'm calling mine. A couple of weeks back I put some new line on a reel. I KNEW I had a gadget but could I find it ? ? ? I was helping my Brother shift some stuff out of his garage today and he said "oh this is yours" I'd loaned it to him about 5 or 6 years ago and forgot to ask for it back. Well after laser engraving some anodised perfume bottles for Jackie the other day I decided I needed more practice so I put my name on my "Witheford Winder" Looking smart eh?
  8. Thank you Mal for all the effort you put in to promote the club. πŸ‘
  9. And for those who don't know . . . . . . Weed.mp4 Which is probably why I'm so daft now. 🀣
  10. It was a bit of a Bill & Ben day! Weed. Weeeeed Weeeeeeeeeeeed. 🀣 I had 2 small Bass in the harbour as well Martin which were of course returned. We came back in on the 5:30 lift and Jackie walked down with Daisy for a quick drink before home. (I do like a pint of Madri) πŸ‘ As always Martin, Thank you for a fantastic day out. In my view the fish are a Bonus on top of a day out. We had a fair bit of banter, No shortage of food & coffee (and cakes), the sea was quite calm, and sunshine most of the day. A day out on a great boat with a fantastic skipper (and me & Phil) Pure magic. Cheers.

  14. A fridge in the shed is good for Beers too. Or any other fluids if you have guests for a BBQ. I had a fridge but got rid of it when we moved as I hardly ever go fishing and needed the space for other "Toys" πŸ˜‰
  15. Yep. Very nicely done Grandad. Sorry I'm late. Been away. Only just got back.
  16. Hi all, Sorry but I can't make June's meeting. Jackie has other plans. πŸ‘

  18. Great. Thanks Martin.
  19. It was a day out on the water in beautiful weather. Of course some Turbot would have been a bonus but what a great day for it. I look forward to your report please Martin.

    Slate

Some of you may know that I recently got a cheap Laser engraver. Well it's taken a while to get it set up and running as I want it but it's done. I tried some old slate the other day and I was pleased with the results. So. I'm on the scrounge. Do you have any old slate that I can have please. Anything bigger than about 3" or 75mm square will be great. Happy to collect or you could bring to a meeting if easier. Thanks in advance. πŸ‘
  23. I've Never had one. Used to see loads when on a charter trip putting back the sand eels we didn't want after netting on hook sands. Seems like 100 years ago πŸ˜ͺ We used to be able to "stop off for 10 mins" for Mackerel as well. Now you could spend all day and not get one. πŸ˜’
  24. That smile says it all. πŸ‘
  25. We used to have a "Trail away" section in the club.
