Bit late to shut the gate now I think !! In the 50's my Father I use to pick up buckets of them after a blow and we would salt them down into jars and keep them for when bait was in short supply or short of money !! Great bait for Bass fishing from the shore when the surf is running !

What a great day to be out in the sunshine and flat seas for a change on board Alfresco as the resident Head cook and bottle washer!! Apologies for the lateness in the post as I always leave it to the Skipper ! Cod were scarce to say the least, except for the lucky chap that decided to have my cuttle and squid Bourdain.(sausage) not so secretly hidden with a 10/0 pennel rig, Popping the scales at 9lb 10oz.No monster but a nice eating size. Great day to be out on Alfresco with the usual banter making it all worth while ! Cheers Charlie....
