Wow you must be a policeman! How did you manage to find that? Well done good piece of detective work

Thanks Jim, yes I can't wait to get her on the water. Just added a photo on my name. Didn't get chance to open her up when I went to buy her, but I think she'll do well with a yam F150 on the back. (fingers crossed!) Yes I know, I know... I'm gonna freeze me nads off!!! but I can't wait Just need to get her down to rockley before they close at 3.00pm tomorrow. Hope it doesn't freeze too much tonight, wish me luck.

Thanks again guys. Looks like I'll have to make a few calls in the morning.

Sorry guys, I'm fishing more information again. I'm taking delivery of my boat tomorrow and I've had to rush out and insure her today. I've taken a policy through A-plan which is underwritten by Towergate. They emailed me a brief outline of the cover summary and it says cruising range: "Non-Tidal and Coastal Waters of the United Kingdom Only" Does that mean 12 nautical miles? and if so, is this standard with most insurers or should I be looking elsewhere? I have very little experience therefore I'm not intending venturing that far offshore. However, if the conditions were right and there was a group of boats this maybe a possibility.

Thanks Sal, I accept our point about the "MUCH BETTER" boats, but it's my baby ( first boat) and I can't help feeling a bit paranoid/unsure! lol Anyway thanks for the reassurance. Thanks for your balanced view Martin, to be honest, the Mrs was edging things towards cobbs however I now think rockley is a much more likely option. We'll see what tomorrow brings. Thanks again guys.

Thanks for the heads up Sal. Say you arrived back at 2.00am, would you feel it's safe to leave little sal on their pontoon until the morning? Not that I'm likely to do this often but it may happen. I think I've managed to sort the trailer issue, which is a big bonus to me as I do like the idea of leaving her off the ground level. Thanks Stuie, if I could get cobbs down to close to

Thanks guys, I do like the safety, convenience and cost saving of trailering however it's just not an option for me at the moment. I've got a small drive and it would mean parking both our cars on the road. I'll never get that past my better half (Although I will have to find somewhere inexpensive to store the trailer - any ideas?). I may trailer in the future but launching her with a 2 & 5 year old may be a challenge at the moment! I'm going to bite the bullet for my first year so that I can hopefully pass on the bug to the Mrs. I really need to keep it fun and easy. Reading various comments I'm going to go with dry stacking, but I can't decide between Cobbs & Rockley. I will speak with them again tomorrow. Does anybody know if they charge on hull length or LOA? I do like cobbs but rockley are offering a 10% discount if paid by a single payment. That makes it

Hi guys, this thread is just what I was looking for. After my aborted attempt to buy a Sea Tremlett about 18 months ago, I had almost given up. However, I've finally done it! Just got myself a white shark 205 and need to decide by tomorrow where I'm going to keep her. For my first year I've narrowed it down to Cobbs Pontoon F (

Unfortunately the en-suite is only half finished, my excuse... I got called in to work mid-week but it's not a problem honey, at least we can use the main bathroom! ouff, it got me off the hook for a while!!! but I will have to get finished next week. I wish I could have joined you on Sat & Sun Derek, but I'm really glad I managed to make Friday night . Good company & fish, what more can anybody ask for! I had a great time, although after an eary start on Friday morning I was starting to feel slightly worse for ware at 5.00am. I must say, I'm very impressed with night fishing and will definately be doing this again! Great species count. Derek mentioned he was going to post a catch report so I will leave it there. Thanks again Derek.

Thanks Jim Haven't been out since late June, can't wait!

Thanks for the offer Jim. Is it really August!!! If by a miracle it improves and you decide to go, I'd love to join you. Cheers Simon

Starting on the 15th I'm off work for a week, well not quite true, I'm working flexi time and also have to refit a bathroom during the same week. All this whilst my better half is away on holiday in Cornwall with the little ones!! This gets me thinking... If anybody needs/has space for crew during this period please let me know. I will work night shifts to get the bathroom finishing if I have to. Just hope my wife doesn't read this or I'll be returfing the garden aswell Simon

I was just about to say, I've never heard of that type of fish before, Doh!!! Congratulations to you both on your fine catch! Hope you're all well. Simon

I've got a 5lb box of squid in the freezer which is itching to be set free and I happy to pay my way. Thanks Simon
-
James, what a neat way to fish, although I bet it takes a bit of getting use to!! Nice photos, and I enjoyed the report! Well done. Simon

Hi Paul, After a lot of begging and agreeing to refit the bathroom, I've managed to secure a one day pass! Preferably for Saturday if the offer is still open? I never realised angling was so expensive! Simon

Congatulations on the second place Jim! I wish I could have joined you, it sure would have beat doing a house clearance rainy yorkshire! Roll on the eating bass...

I will also be fishing on small fry and look forward to a cosy trip.

I've just checked the cost to px the outboard to a 50hp. About

Unfortunately it's a private seller Jim, so no option to get the engine upgrade. I'll try to find out what I can get for the 25hp (30 hours on) it as a px against a 50hp. Does anybody have any suggestion on places to try? Thanks again Simon
-
Thanks Jim, yes 80hp sound about right from the 2007 price list I found here: http://www.dragoboats.co.uk/price.shtml Was

Thanks Rob, I'll do some ringing around. Any idea where I can get a cheap trailer? I mean good value. I don't want to spend much if I'm going to use a mooring. Simon

Thanks guys, I agree with you over the looks Tom, although with a budget of

Hi, Has anybody in the club has ever tried one these? I guessing, no but thought I would try my luck anyway. I managed to find these links: http://www.worldseafishing.com/boating/boa...day_fisher.html (write up by Mike Thrussell) http://www.dragoboats.co.uk/sunday.shtml Although not the prettiest in looks, from what I can make of the write up she seems a fairly descent boat. I'm looking for something I can fish on but also enjoy with the family (2 & 4 years old). Does under
