Martin you are right, autopilot taking the stress out, gave me time to decide what tackle to loose next!! I've watched the video today and I'm thinking there maybe an opening in turning it into a rig tying film and testing the curve on fishing rods!! -

A good day to be out and cheers Nigel for the company. I have taken some video of us wrecking, or should I say increasing the size of wrecks if it comes out ok I will try to attach at some point!! No promises! The boat got up to 18.5 knots on the way back as it was so light with the tackle left behind on the wrecks! Got to be in amongst them to find the fish at times! . Another night pirk making coming up! -

Tomorrow is looking too good to miss, oh dear this is going to be a short working week!!!

Good luck Brian, took Kingfisher out today for a run and some worm drowning with Nigel. Bitterly cold and only small whiting and lsd out a few miles at anchor, then drifted along the Chines trying to avoid miles of nets nothing then a few drifts in the harbour for a couple more whiting. Good to get a trip out but as always this time of year hard work. Got to be out to see what's about!!

From the album: Kingfisher Album
Halibut at 62lb in Norway, the flounders have a way to go!! -
Boat out the water having a scrub and polish up, rooms booked, new hinges ordered for coolbox all thats needed now is the weather gods to play ball!! Booked for the 29th April 2 May so lets hope the fish are biting, if the poxy trawlers havent had them all!
-
The ground around the area must be smashed to bits with the amounts of trawling, but there must be a reason the French are hammering the area. Is it the fish are there to breed, if so the stocks must be being wiped out with this day after day!! There has been continued trawling there for weeks now! Nearly always only French.

In Birmingham today, sunny but cold and the view across the motorways is nothing like that!!! ;(. ;(
