Junior Fishing Competition 2015 Rules/ Layout
Kingfisher 126 replied to Sam's topic in Competition Talk
Hi Sam, I am not sure if you are aware there is a BBQ area at Cobbs that can be privately booked at no cost for berth holders. An enquiry has been made and I was given the green light if you want to use it for the Kids Comp. (There may be other openings there too). The area will be clean and tidy with plenty of seating etc so it may help out. Just a thought. Chris -

Not a problem Steve, any time. Great set of guys, a few going quite a way out until it started to kick up. Some had up to 15 fish when we were chatting to them, one guy caught 3 fish while we chatted with him! We had a dangle at times which produced a plaice of a few oz's. The guys have a serious amount of kit they use and I have to say all were fully kitted out for safety. Well done Steve on organising, it will only grow and grow.

Can I be cheeky and ask if anybody has a pair of Bravo 3 props?
Kingfisher 126 replied to LilBrit's topic in Swap and Shop
When repitching it just means they need a bigger hammer with stainless! Basics are they twist the blades. -
Hi Steve If the £10 bag of gear is still available can I have it please.
-
Hi Steve, If floats still available can I buy please.

Well done Lofty good result, shame about the bag going missing. Do you still want me as a safety boat cover, if so I will provide a bit of brekkie and hot drinks if required.

Fitted a new toy on the boat, Raymarine Down vision plotter / sounder. I was going to fit a Garmin version but cost was alot more than Raymarine. The reviews looked good too. Kev (I'm in) found a company online and a discount for two units soon agreed. Dealing with them has been a real pleasure, always turned up on time and nothing seems too much trouble and Andy the engineer is a very knowledgable guy. Stephanie in the office knows her stuff too! Units fitted and tested and they look the business, can't wait to get playing with it over the wrecks etc! So if anyone is looking for guidance on electronics etc give them a shout. http://www.meiltd.co.uk/Home.aspx

Looks good Rich, good luck and no doubt lots of fun to follow. Condition is top notch.

Looking good Adam, looks like you will have alot of stowage available. The wheelhouse looks huge inside, you've made great use of space. The kids are enjoying the project too, good to see, what are they like at laying up?
-
Sounds like you had a good one Hooky, best wishes that knocks up the club average!!!

Just imagine the water pressure if you took a pipe off an 1" inlet while you tried to get the stopper in, one serious jet of water and if you dropped it etc a serious problem. A great idea as an emergency but I would never try to use it as they said!! Playing with sea cocks is a job for out of the water, always tight and awkward and if the seal is broken onto the skin fitting and hull more problems.
