  4. Well done Chris, We went there this morning doggies and pout, as the ebb started and got going not a thing! You have the bass hot spot there at the moment. Chris
  5. No problem Charlie, Good luck with the list of jobs you have, we will try and find something interesting hopefully!! Try out the new Moonfleet rigs. If not the cake and cups of tea will get a hammering, usually get a bite when your hands are full! Good luck everyone who gets out.
  6. What else can you do when the bites are slow??
  7. Hi Charlie, I have only one other on board, if you dont get a crew you are more than welcome to jump on board. Kettle is always on, with butties and cake through out the day(Cake homemade)! Chris

  9. Thanks for comments, haven't found the Pro Bass shop yet! Great views from Empire State as you would expect, but the wind was like ice up there. (Cod fishing in the winter!) Ground Zero was an eye opener with the size of the area effected and the roll call around the water features. RIP Massive building site now, 5 or 6 new sky scrapers being built at one time. Chris
  10. As it's the big "50" for me I,ve been taken away on a surprise 5 day trip to New York!! Yesterday Rockerfeller Centre, Central Park and Broadway with lots of walking!! Legs now killing me but will do me no harm!!! Today Empire State Building, Ground Zero and of course lots of walking!! Tomorrow bus tour around NY and boat tour to Statue of Liberty and the Hudson River etc and you,ve guessed it!!!! No fishing this week but we all have to sacrifice some things!!! The reason excuses were being made why we couldn't go to Dinner Dance! Cheers Chris
  11. How did get away with the foot paths on Hamworthy side, lay them then put lamp post's and tree's in the middle of them and make them unusable!! Must be missing something!! Alot of things with the whole project are so near but so far!
  12. I have a Garmin 4008 and it is a cracking bit of kit, you can download the latest software at any time so it keeps everything brand new. Just updated my chart to 2012 at half price of a new chart and it is unblievable the difference it has made. Chris
  13. You did well to get out and stay out, I went to Dancing Ledge way and it got rougher all day. Saw a couple of kayak's on the inside of us there that had come from Swanage on the ebb tide. If they were going back later it would have been a bit iffy with the swell and rollers this afternoon. Bitterly cold wind too.
  14. 1) Neal Sturt 2) Nigel Allen 3) Kind of Magic with Allan Green, Dave Samuels and Bill Smith 4, Alf, Sally & Mark on Dream Drifter 5. Lofty( kayak) 6. Barto( kayak ) 7. Geordie Brian.... possibly(kayak 8. Chris Witheford, Kingfisher
  15. Many thanks for that Dave that clears that up. Cheers Chris
  16. Hi All Having only entered Open Comps with the club before, do the crew have to be club members? Is there an entry fee people taking part? Sorry if I have missed the answers asked, but still finding out where everything is in the forums. (Newbie member) Thanks Chris
  17. Hi Martin Doing the same and having a look about to the West, big tides could be interesting!! Chris
  18. Hi Martin Thanks for reply, I have an Arvor 25 an older one so not as fast as the newer ones. I am waiting for replies from crew to make sure I have one or two. Based at Cobbs and live in Parkstone so local as it can get. As soon as I can I will confirm. I will update with photo's as soon as I suss out how to update, upload, attach, download etc. Keep be being told they are the wrong files etc at the moment. Looking forward to it!! Chris
  19. Hi All, I have joined to a full member at long last. I,ve watched, read and joied in some of the comp.s over the year's so it was well over due to join. Is it too late to join the Alderney trip, if it's ok I will get a crew together. Tight lines for the season Chris
