  10. Did it break the L/H rear window? Glad Bobi is OK,you lot are an insurance nightmare Nige
  11. Dave B has said that April issue is the last one warners are printing. They are looking for a buyer and if one cannot be found it will be the end of the magazine and i suppose the web site. In my opinion it's the only mag that's any good and will be a big shame,I hope a buyer is found Nige
  12. All the best Kev,have a good day Nige
  13. Texted Mike Sunday night ,to see if he wanted to see how rough it would be today He was up for it so not expecting much we popped out and inshore not to bad but not nice out further .So dropped the hook a short distance out in 60 ft of water, bites from the start with lots of small pout, dogs, just one whiting to Mike and a couple of poor cod.Nothing hit the big baits and when the unsociable waves made us loose anchor hold we decided it was too rough and headed in,a short stop to try for a flounder but just couldn't drum up any enthusiasm to try hard for them so left them for another day or Mr Jones .Oh well got an early start on the species Nige
  14. Great report and a good call
  15. Neal invited me out on Court Jester and we headed in the opposite direction to the rest and went to the carpark.First mark was dead so after some discussion we moved a few miles out which was a good call first cod 6lb to Neal then we both dropped a fish Then a good take to me a big pollack.Tried to weigh it with Neals scales but it definitely wasn't 37lb More like 10+lb ,I left Neal to catch doggies which he is very good at doing .Then I had a good bite which thankfully I didn't drop @18lb14oz . It was good enough for 5th my mate Nick Bainton won with 22lb. PBSBAC members done well with quite a few catching..........even Jim........yes Small Flies A big thanks to Neal for today a great host the sausages were lovely.......or would of been if we had any gas Oh and the radio was interesting on the way back in with Martin not able to get it up But Dave apparantly stood by until he did And some clever dick then says on radio "do you need some Viagra " A good day and great to see so many members at the pub. Nige
  16. Well not as good as you did 2years ago Rob.
  17. Short sighted and greed...........hate to think how many fish that is!
  18. Charlie did the boys drink you under the table
  19. Hard luck on the cod hunt, youll get one soon Nige
  20. Dan I was one of three boats very close together Arvor,me and a raider about a mile from the light. So if you were fishing on the horizon i would of been a mere spec Nige
  21. Mark,HW you should be fine I had that under mine today at 2.15 with 0.5m draft
  22. Went out first thing and the sea was flat with a slight swell ,so straight past our inshore mark to the carpark.Found two boats sandwiching my mark so with careful anchoring(not usually the case) I put the boat in between the two so that we were able to talk to each other Both boats as it happens we're mates, one fom the island and the other Steve( sharky) from Southampton. Had novice crew today which wasn't a problem as we weren't getting bites It was dead apart from a pout and a whiting to my crew and a single conger to me and that was it! So I'd thought I would post a "only just about caught something" For a change As Trev has already posted the run is not much fun at the moment, today I gave the last bouy on the way out a very wide berth and it wasn't to bad,but I don't think I'll be able to come and go as I please All the best to you all and hope you've all had a good Christmas Nige P.S.....Ooooooooh forgot to mention saw a dolphin today broke surface three times as it passed my boat at anchor............as it chased all the cod away Which is always a great sight
  23. All the best, lovely bass done better than me today Nige
  24. Andrew there are some good marks Poole way,I don't have them but I do know some big cod have shown over there.Best way is to look for other boats I believe the " slates" or the spoils are good with the later shown on you're plotter Tight lines Nige
  25. I don't know if the needles will be approachable but if it is between 9 and2pm there is only 0.5m rise and fall in tide in the Freshwater area, before and after those times it's silly
