  1. Just got a Lowrance broadband fishfinder (HDS 7) to replace older gear, and wondering if anyone has recommendations as to location of transducer. Boat (Arvor 200) has a heavy keel, (does this cause shadow when in-hull mounting?) and shaft drive which causes disturbed water at transom. Any ideas? John

    Pure envy

I am so envious, reading these posts, but at last, Moa'ki Warrior will be in Cobbs Quay to stay, on tuesday afternoon, even if I am still stuck in South Wales for a few more weeks. I hope to lean heavily on the experience of other club members, as the last time that I went boat fishing was nearly 40 years ago, before jelly shads and uptide fishing were invented. I am short on current boat experience too, but have a few certificates. John

    Hello all

Just to say hi to all here, I will be moving to Poole shortly, as I have retired from work, and hope to devote the remainder of my life to fishing and watching telly. I have a small angling boat, which is odd really, as I gave most of my tackle away a few years ago, so I will have to start buying again. I will rely heavily on club members to show me the best marks, as I have never boat fished the Poole area. I used to fish out of newhaven before I moved to wales 35 years ago, so I am very out of practice. by the way, my name is John
