  1. Dont even like the rides at Alton Towers let alone punching through a westerly all day, but saying that we went in a 4-5 last year and it wasn't to bad on the cat. True blue is also joining us so I hope its worth it or I will change skipper's next year.
  2. well I have just been informed that our trip to Alderney on Monday 12th on Rapid Fisher charter Boat that was cancelled is now back ON !!!!!!!! I don't know what to do first. Go to the shops and by some nappies for the crossing or call my life insurance company as im not to sure about the crossing or Tuesday. Well if it does come off I will try and put up a detailed report if I get internet out there as I struggled last year. a very apprehensive Malcolm N

  5. Im getting concerned now as you guys all canceling and im supposed to be heading over on rapid fisher charter boat on monday. But looking at next weeks forecast im beginning to wonder when the skipper is going to cancel as Tuesday 13th looks yuck and I dont fancy it at all. Like most of you guys im totally gutted as its my only time of the year I get to go. Going to try and find other things to do next week with my week off. :-(
  6. Took a few friend's and my 3yr old god son for a few hours fishing in the harbour today. Went and drifted by the ferry for a bit that saw us a pout and a garfish. After an hour with nothing else we decided to drift the truck line for the rest of the afternoon we had. It was really good as the 3yr old loved it and smilled all afternoon, we were catching so many small pollock and wrass it was like mackerel fishing, we only came back in because we run out of bait. Kept a couple of pollack for the Bar B Que tonight. What a lovely afternoon.
  7. Hi sam I bought a fantastic light ugly stick rod with fugi rings in Australia for my little cousin a while back to try and coax her and her dad to do more fishing but to no success. The rod has never been used but i am sure some girl would love it as its PINK. I will be happy to donate the rod as a prize for a girl. but it does not have a bag I can bring it to Parkstone marina and leave it with your dad for you to inspect. It wasn't cheap so will be a nice prize. Malcolm N
  8. For those who have not heard. Bournemouth fishing lodge have 15% discount this weekend 8th and 9th feb when you spend £50 or more. I collect the drennan 100% waterproof bib and brace tomorrow as the jacket arrives in store so I will see what they got. Malcolm

  11. We started in holes bay this morning on Valton with only one flounder of 3.2lb falling to dad's bait. after 3 hrs with no more bites we moved around a bit and this didn't work either. In the end dad took away £60 for 3rd place. Congratulations white magic on your magnificent flounder and winning the castaways flounder competition 😭 Malcolm N
  12. Were all booked in and just hope we do better than I have in the recent flounder league recently. But then on another hand I did land 3 sizeable flounders from the harbour last night 😜

  22. Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I was joined by family and some of my old friends from the Brighton area who made the journey to Poole for the weekend. Saturday evening was enjoyed buy steaks at rancho`s followed buy lots of beer and laughter on the quay. Then on Sunday a good old breakfast at the RNLI college, god knows how I was awake for 8am to get to the college. Think the wife had been telling people about the boat problems (leg still not fitted) as I have been given as birthday gifts vouchers for fishing trips on Rapid fisher out of Poole. A Bass trip, 3 inshore fishing trips and 2 wrecking trips to take when I want. so I can still get my fishy fix until boat sorted. getting worried though as the open is fast approaching. tight lines everyone. Thanks again Malcolm N
  23. Ah nice must be a first for me as I can't wait to go to work tomorrow haha, as I have not worked with this equipment at Hyphose I don't know how it all works so I will have to see if happy Keith will give me a run down. I'm getting all excited know as things are coming together, and there I was thinking I need to keep my empty oil drums to put all that fuel in and find some where licenced to dispose of it, approx 200ltr so I guess this fuel polisher will save us ££££££ Nice I like it already Thanks Charlie :-)
  24. Thanks guys. I was thinking about our flushing kit but I've never seen it in action yet as it spends most of its time at Discovery Yachts in Southampton but I think I did see it at our workshop the other day so I will have to investigate and see how it all works, I bet they won't let me use it for free though haha. Thanks for the offer to borrow the camera but I will still check out maplins prices as I see one today in Force 4 for £129.99. New feed pipe will go back in tomorrow night once I get one from work but all other hoses from tank are all good as only fitted them in November. Just need to hear how much the leg refurb is going to be and wait for the rams to come back from our workshop, I do hope they are kind to us. Then can sort the injector pump and pipes out, a lick of paint and anti foul, fit the new cabin door I picked up from Wilson flyer in Havant then hopefully time to go fishing without having to use charter boats to get my fishing fix haha
