  1. Well done on finding the fish Nige. Expect Neal was 'right chuffed' Like the 'royal wave' from Madness.
  2. Hope you're enjoying your day Steve.
  3. Sadly!! - I'm away for a few days for a shore fishing fest starting next Monday so won't be out this weekend. Good luck to all who do get out. Looking forward to reading about it all.
  4. Ron, I'd suggest you need more chain for your anchor, and 150ft of warp may not be enough if anchoring in 80 or more feet of water. Many useful threads on the site, this is the most recent one. http://www.pbsbac.co.uk/ipb/topic/17517-windlass/?hl=anchoring&do=findComment&comment=137249

  8. Best wishes Graham. Hope you've had a good day - been drifting in your little boat recently?
  9. A day of two distinct halves indeed. Took Sea Dream out with Neal - just for a change. 10am anchored the spoil grounds at a likely looking spot and it was dogs and more dogs and an unexpected sizeable bass. Tide eased and a move to a ray mark was made at 1pm Someone must have flicked a switch!!! We couldn't stop catching for two hours - with double hookups not unusual. We ended up with 17 rays, mainly smalleyes - Neal having an 11lb 7oz specimen. I managed a 14lb 8oz undulate and we had a couple of spotties too. What a session. Roll on the next one.
  10. Nice fish Charlie - early start paid off then. Back to the big hooks????
  11. You brave enough to tell her Coddy?????
