I'm off to the carpark about 8am not to early start as Nigel and myself are fishing the boscombe pier comp tonight till 12.30 am... At least I won't be the only one in the dog house :-)

Just doggies and conga is all mike and I could find today but good day to test new boat..

Put new boat in at port of poole marina today so will be pokin our noses out for a second sea trial tomorrow with a couple of rods on board :-)

Finges crossed might have new boat ready by next week so will be able to fish cod comp .. Hoping for better weather !

Sold my old Alaska 500 this morning to the first viewer for the price I wanted .. Result.. He's a local chap so talked him into joining the club hopefully :-)

Engine fitted just waiting for controls and cables to arrive from America .. The engine sounds quite sweet hope it's ok !! Mikes doing a service on it with new impeller .. Hope to be ready while the cod are still here :-))

Mike toms and I have jointly invested in a quicksilver 640...2009 model... We bought it from a guy in Chelmsford from where I towed it home today.. The boat has no engine as the poor guy had it stolen buy the usual scumbags !! They just cut through everything so mechanic mike has got that lot to sort out !! We have sorced a Honda 90 2006 engine which should arrive next week .... I shall be playing a important roll on the mechanical front ..makin tea and passing spanners etc ... Looking forward to getting it on the water :-)

During this quiet time mike and I are doing a bit of fly fishing and yesterday was a good day for us both ... I had a brownie of 13lb 11oz and mike a rainbow of 15lb 15oz Keeping the freezer topped up

Not good news, Three men in a tender going out to there boat when it capsized ... One of them I no Paul,had a floatation suit the other two nothing... Paul swam to the boat only to see his mate who he thought was holding onto the tender struggling To take his jacket off... That was the last he saw of him ... He's still missing, Tragic .... Thoughts with family
