Crewed for mike sunday for my first trip to the shambles, We set off at 6.30 am to get to portland slip at 7.30. The sea was calm and the sun was shining.
On our third drift mike was in, he was hoping for a "doggie lol" but turned into a codling of around 5-6lb a welcome suprise, next drift my turn and my first ever brill came to the net 3lb 14oz, then a small codling about 3-4lb.
It went quiet for a while as the tide slackened,Then in the afternoon mike had two plaice and a rod bender which produced his first turbot of the season, It wasnt a monster but a nice fish,
Cheers mike great day out with a unexpected bag of fish
